SRU hosts 3rd District candidate’s forum Saturday

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Four Democratic Party candidates seeking election to Pennsylvania’s third congressional district will join a Democratic Candidates Forum from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday in Slippery Rock University’s Advanced Technology and Science Hall.

The event, moderated by Greenville Mayor Dick Miller, will include Kyle Foust, Tom Myers, Mike Waltner and Kathy Dahlkemper.

In addition to nearly all of Butler and Mercer counties, the district includes Erie and Crawford counties, and portions of Warren and Crawford counties. The district is currently represented by Phil English, a Republican. The party’s 2008 primary election is April 22.

The forum is sponsored by the Butler County Democrats for Change, the Northwest Democrat Alliance from Mercer County and SRU’s Commonwealth Association of Students and College Democrats.
