Slippery Rock University invites applications for an Assistant Director of Campus Services beginning fall 2008.  Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications; this management position offers an excellent benefits package. 

Responsibilities:  Manage the University custodial and grounds operations, central receiving/warehouse, and garage/fleet vehicle maintenance (responsible for 5 supervisors and 80 plus front-line workers).  Direct the maintenance of 700 acres of grounds and the cleaning of 2 million plus square feet in 65 major buildings on the Slippery Rock campus.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required.  Degree in management, horticulture or landscape architecture preferred.  Training/course work in custodial management and/or landscaping and experience in managing budgets and familiarity using spreadsheets and databases to analyze data required.  Five (5) years of supervisory experience required, experience in the supervision of custodial or grounds workers preferred. Experience working with diverse populations required.  Experience working in a collective bargaining agreement environment preferred.
