Slippery Rock University invites applications for 2 tenure track Assistant Professor positions in a rapidly expanding Exercise and Rehabilitative Sciences Department beginning August 2009.
Qualifications: Earned doctoral degree in exercise physiology or related discipline required (must be completed by August 2009). A commitment to the education of diverse populations, and scholarly activity (i.e. publish research, direct student research, present at professional meetings, and/or procure grants) is required. Successful performance in an on-campus interview, including teaching demonstration, is also required. Evidence of effective classroom and laboratory teaching in higher education focusing on student centered learning preferred.
Responsibilities: Teach courses and provide quality academic advisement in CAAHEP accredited and NSCA endorsed undergraduate exercise science program, pursue scholarly work and participate in department and university service.
