SRU Marching Pride presents ‘Stadium Echoes’ concert style  

 

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The 150-member Slippery Rock University Marching Pride, under the direction of James Berry, assistant professor of music, will present its annual “Stadium Echoes” concert at 8 p.m. Sunday in Morrow Field House.

           The concert culminates the band’s fall semester marching and performance schedule and includes many of the selections played during football season halftime shows.

           The concert will offer the “SRU Alma Mater” and fight song, along with “Land of 1000 Dances,” the theme from “Rocky,” “Salvation,” “Hey Baby,” “Old Man River/That Old Black Magic” and “Cantina Band a la Sing Sing Sing.”

           Section cheers will also be presented.

           Concert admission is free for SRU students; $3 for the general public.

           A pre-concert dinner is also planned. For details call 724.738.2436.
