Two SRU flag-football teams hold their own at national tournament
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University Intramural Sports Program sent two intramural flag football teams to the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association Regional Tournament hosted at The Ohio State University, with the Clem Is Nuts team ending 1-1 in pool play and the We Made Us team ending 2-0. However, both teams were knocked out in the finals.

Music graduate excells in San Francisco, appears in commercial
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Mike Desnoyers, a 2008 Slippery Rock University music graduate, is making a name for himself in graduate school and as a vocal performer in San Francisco. Desnoyers currently appears in a Sprint holiday Internet commercial and is singing tenor solos at the San Francisco Conservatory and with professional companies.

World dance provides focus for SRU dance concert
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Slippery Rock University’s dance department concludes the semester with two showcase concerts of student works at 1 and 4 p.m. Saturday in Swope Music Hall. The concerts will include international dances.
