Cow Paddy Bingo supports SRU’s Forgotten Angels’ project

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Slippery Rock University's Student Athletes for Forgotten Angels organization will sponsor a Cow Paddy Bingo event from 2-5 p.m. Sunday on the soccer practice fields at the intersection of Harmony and Kiester road at the east end of campus.

Proceeds will help in The Rock student-athletes' quest to enhance the quality of life for the world's disadvantaged children.

The Forgotten Angels traveled to Haiti last summer to assist children and plan to visit New Orleans this summer. Last year the SRU students took toys and clothes to assist the Haitian children. The students returned to campus with moving stories of the children they had met and played soccer with in the island nation. At least one of the Haitian youngsters later visited campus.

Tickets for the Cow Paddy Bingo event are $5. The top prize is $4,000.

In addition to the bingo game, a list of activities includes a free soccer clinic for children ages 5-12 from 3-4 p.m. and live bands.

            For more information call 724.738.2822.
