Allegheny Power, the electrical power supplier for Slippery Rock University, has declared an end to the electrical load shedding event as of 2 p.m.
All non-essential building lighting and non-essential computer equipment may be returned to normal use.
Results of the power-usage reduction will be shared with the campus when they become available.
Building air conditioning has also been returned to normal.

SRU Campus Community:
Allegheny Power, which supplies electrical power to the Slippery Rock University campus, has declared a campuswide electrical load shedding event effective at 1 p.m. today.
Please turn off all non-essential lighting and non-essential computer equipment by 1 p.m. Facilities and Planning will be shutting down the air conditioning in campus buildings for short periods of time (20-30 minutes) in order to ensure Slippery Rock University reaches its contractual target of reducing its campus electrical load of 30KW during the event.
A campus notification will be sent later today when the power usage may return to normal.
