Biography:
Judit Kovacs is a professor in the Physical Education Department at Slippery Rock University.In 1994, she received her B.S. with a double major in Mathematics and Physical Education at Nyiregyhaza, Budapest at Bessenyei Gyorgy College. She received her Master's degree in Budapest, Hungary at Hungarian University of Physical Education (HUPE) in 1996. Mrs. Kovacs is currently pursuing her doctorate degree at NCU with a concentration in Curriculum and Teaching.
She was a National Champion in the 80-meter hurdle at the age of 13 and a member of the National High School Champion Team in hurdle, long jump, and 4 by 100 meter relay. She currently holds coaching certificates in Track and Field, Gymnastics, Swimming, and Basketball. Mrs. Kovacs is also certified in WSI, Red Cross, and Lifeguard.
During her free time, Mrs. Kovacs enjoys jogging with her lab (Zsofi), playing badminton (she will accept challenges from students), biking and hiking with her husband (Istvan), and kids (Matyi and Reka.)
