Academic Affairs

Criteria:

Demonstrate superior academic achievement, and good moral character.  Priority is given to Mercer County residents.  Financial Need required.  This scholarship is renewable.

Criteria:

1200 SAT or equivalent ACT and top 10% of high school class.  This scholarship is renewable

Criteria:

This scholarship is non renewable.  

Amount:

Grady W. and Helen L. Magee Cooper                             

Criteria:

Must reside in Butler, Lawrence or Mercer County, PA and achieve academic excellence.  This scholarship is renewable.

Robert H. Coulson               

Criteria:

Graduate of Valley High School or Burrell High School, PA and perform community services and other extra-curricular activities.  Applicant must provide an essay describing career goals and aspirations.    This scholarship is non renewable.

Eberly Family              

Criteria:

Resident of Fayette County, PA and demonstrate superior academic achievement and good moral character.  Financial need is required and the scholarship is renewable.

Michael J. Estocin ’54 Memorial 

Criteria:

Incoming Freshmen with 3.5 QPA or higher, in top 20% of graduating class.  Financial Need is required and this scholarship is non renewable.

First National Bank

Criteria:

Top 5% of graduating class, with a 3.5 QPA.  Must reside in school district serviced by FNB.  See Financial Aid Website for listing of FNB branches.  This scholarship is renewable.

James P. Gillen Memorial

Criteria:

Must reside in Allegheny or Butler County, PA and have prior community service experience.   Financial need is required for this scholarship and the scholarship is non renewable.

Ralph Emerson Greasley

Criteria:

Must exhibit academic excellence, and demonstrate financial need.  The scholarship is renewable.

Grove City County Market

Criteria:

Graduate of Grove City, Mercer or Slippery Rock Area High School and have academic perseverance.  Must demonstrate financial need.  This scholarship is not renewable.

Criteria:

Graduate of Woodland Hills High School, PA.  Demonstrate a commitment to career development and community service.  This scholarship is renewable.

Darrell J. Hess

Criteria:

Must reside in Homestead, Lincoln Place, Munhall, West Mifflin or Whitaker, PA.  Demonstrate dedication and perseverance in academic work.  Financial Need is required.  This is scholarship is non renewable.

Joe Hickey

Criteria:

Good Academic Standing.  This scholarship is non renewable.

Criteria:

Junior ROTC

Criteria:

Must have completed the Junior ROTC program in one of 9 high schools.  These high schools include in PA: Albert Gallatin Area, Beaver, Butler, East (Erie), David B. Oliver, Seneca Valley, Strong Vincent (Erie) or Valley High School (New Kensington). In OH: The Rayen School in Youngstown.  The scholarship is non renewable.

Kids First 

Criteria:

Demonstrate Academic Excellence.  Graduate of Central Catholic H.S. in Dubois, Brockway, Jefferson Tech High Schools.  Financial Need is required.  This scholarship is non renewable.

Stanley Kraus

Criteria:

Graduate of Neshannock High School, PA.  This scholarship is non renewable.

Dale Liken

Criteria:

First preference given to students who participated in Junior Achievement.  This scholarship is renewable.

Nate and Irene Maruca

Criteria:

First preference given to graduates of Avonworth or Quaker Valley high schools.  3.2 high school QPA.  Must demonstrate Financial Need and this scholarship is renewable.

Pennsylvania Governor’s School 

Criteria:

Graduated from the Governor’s School of Excellence.  Copy of Governor’s School Certificate should be provided.  3.5 high school QPA and have an SAT score of 1150 or an ACT score of 25 and be in the top 25% of high school class.  Submit a 500 word essay describing their experience at the PGSE and how they plan to apply what they learned to their college or professional career.  This scholarship is non renewable.

Dr. and Mrs. Arthur William Phillips

Criteria:

SAT score of 1,000 or ACT score of 22 and a minimum cumulative GPA of a B average for 13 or more of the recommended college preparatory units required by all applicants.  Must reside in Venango, Armstrong, Butler, Clarion, Crawford, Erie, Forest, Lawrence, Mercer or Warrant County in PA.  This scholarship is renewable.

Quality Aggregates at Laurel High School

Criteria:

Graduate of Laurel High School.  Applicant chosen will be the student with the highest QPA and who has applied to admission to SRU by February 15.  This scholarship is non renewable.

John O. Stoner

Criteria:

Somerset County resident and have academic excellence.  Student must be able to demonstrate Financial Need.  This scholarship is renewable.

Barry Welch

Criteria:

3.0 high school QPA.  Must demonstrate financial need.  This scholarship is non renewable.

Winner Foundation

Criteria:

Recommendation by school administrator based on good character, determination and leadership qualities.  Priority consideration: 1. Dependent children of Winner employees.  Please include a documentation letter from Human Resources.  2. Graduates of Reynolds School District. 3.  Graduates of Sharon City School District.  4.  Graduate of any Mercer County School District. 

The scholarship is renewable.

Wolves Club of Coraopolis

Criteria:

Graduate of Moon Area, Cornell or Montour High Schools in PA.  Student must demonstrate good performance.  Student must demonstrate Financial Need and the scholarship is renewable.
