The minor in international affairs is open to any
student at SRU. It provides an opportunity to receive credit on
your transcript for a program of specialized instruction in world
politics, economics, and cultures.
The major requires courses in three categories. The first category,
foundations, asks you to take classes in two of three introductory
courses. The second category, global analysis, requires classes
with an international perspective. Category three is an regional
specialization, in order to ground your studies in the life,
politics, and economics of a particular part of the world.
In addition, to receive the minor the student must demonstrate (by
exam or by coursework) competence in a language other than his own
at the 103 level.
