• Dr. Walters attended the State APSCUF Meetings: PSEA, Executive, and Legislative Assembly on September 23rd.
• Dr. Barnett presented a paper at the Ohio Communication Association annual conference on October 3rd.  He also presented a paper and attended other presentations at the National Communication Association's Annual Convention in Chicago, Illinois on November 11th.
• Dr. Walters attended APSCUF PSEA Conference on Labor in Higher Education as the Conference Planner on October 14th.
• Dr. Pease-Hernandez and Dr. Swarts attended and presented at the New York State Communication Association (NYSCA) Conference on October 22nd.
• Dr. Flynn attended the New York State Communication Conference in Ellenville, NY on October 23rd.
• Dr. Pastore presented at the 2009 Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT) International Convention on October 26th.  Two presentations were given, and Dr. Pastore was the first author on both presentations.
• Dr. Harry attended College Media Annual Convention in Austin, TX on October 28th.
• Dr. Laux attended the National Communication Association Annual Convention in Chicago, IL on November 12th.

Computer Science

• Ms. Fedkovitz attended the Crystal Reports Seminar in New Castle, PA on July 31st.
• Dr. Whitfield attended AMCIS 2009 in San Francisco, CA on August 5th.  AIS had sessions and a meeting regarding continuing the support of ABET IS accreditation.
• Dr. Valentine attended "Parallel Programming and Cluster Computing" workshop at University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK on August 8th.
• Dr. Zhou attended a PACISE board meeting in Lock Haven, PA on September 18th.
• Dr. Dailey presented two papers and offered a workshop to other attendees at Google's Headquarters in Mountain Valley, CA on October 2nd.
• Dr. Zhou presented a paper at IEEE MASS 2009 Conference in Macau SAR, China on October 10th.
• Dr. Whitfield was a panel presenter at Consortium for Computing Sciences in Colleges East in Villanova, PA on October 29th.
• Dr. Thangiah presented a paper and attended the Institute for Operations Research and Management Science Conference in San Diego, CA on October 30th.
• Dr. Chai will attend a conference to present a paper and serve as a session chair in Phoenix, AZ on December 14th.

Military Science

• SFC Saspe attended the Army 10 Miler Competition in Arlington, VA on October 2nd, and attended the 2009 Brigade Ranger Challenge in Ft. Indiantown Gap, PA on October 16th.

Professional Studies

• Dr. Bhatia attended the 8th Annual Hawaii International Conferences on Social Sciences in Honolulu, Hawaii on June 3rd.
• Dr. Bavaro travelled to Washington, Butler, Cabot, and Pittsburgh, PA to review intern work for summer internships on August 18th.
• Dr. Lubinski attended an ACFE Fraud conference on August 26th in Washington, D.C.
• Dr. Policicchio attended a meeting at Pitt University in Pittsburgh, PA on September 18th.
• Ms. Kaiser-Drobney attended the 2009 Nonprofit Summit in Pittsburgh, PA on October 1st.
• Dr. Bavaro presented a paper at the PA Historical Association at Widener University in Chester, PA on October 23rd.

• Dr. Brown travelled with a group of visiting Chinese graduate students to Washington D.C. on August 15th.
• Dr. Frederick travelled with students to attend the PA Governor's Conference for Women in Philadelphia, PA on September 16th.
• Dr. Brown attended the business meeting of the Association of Regional Centers for Asian Studies in Phoenix, Arizona on September 30th.
• Dr. Sykora travelled with students to the Victory Family Church in Cranberry, PA on October 27th.
• Dr. McIntosh attended the Model UN Conference with students in Philadelphia, PA on November 12th.

• Dr. Culp met with BC3's Dean and Provost to update them on SRU's business program in Butler, PA on July 21st and visited St. Paul Homes in Greenville, PA on July 22nd.
• Dr. Orvis travelled with Alpha Kappa Psi students to PBLI National Conference in Orlando, FL on August 5th.
• Mr. Buttermore attended a meeting with Dr. Reyes in Pittsburgh, PA on August 27th.

• Dr. Hawranick attended a workshop for the preparation of the Council on Social Work Education in Morgantown, WV on September 15th.
• Dr. Hardesty travelled with students in her Criminology class to Sci Green in Waynesburg, PA on October 20th.
• Dr. Yim travelled with her Intro to Criminology students to the Butler County Jail on October 27th and 29th.
• Dr. Hardesty attended the CSWE Conference in San Antonio, TX on November 3rd.
• Dr. Harvey attended the American Society of Criminology Annual Meeting with students to present a paper "Applying Service Learning Strategies into Community Restorative Justice Courses" in Philadelphia, PA on November 3rd.
• Dr. Yim presented a paper at the annual ASC conference in Philadelphia, PA on November 5th.

• Nicole Bartley, Stefanie Weber, Chelsey Rovesti, and Jessica Moore attended the College Media Annual Convention in Austin, TX on October 28th.

Computer Science

• Eric Elder and Reno Perri travelled with Dr. Dailey to a computing conference at Google's headquarters in Mountain View, CA on October 2nd.  The students are co-authors of one of the papers, provided assistance with the workshop, and helped with SRU-related publicity.
• Dan Bly, Joe Forsythe, and Nick Perera travelled with Dr. Thangiah, presented a paper, and attended the Institute for Operations Research and Management Science Conference in San Diego, CA on October 10th.

Military Science
