'GHOSTS' TO CONREGATE AT SRU'S OLD STONE HOUSE
OCT. 24-25
SLIPPERY
ROCK, Pa. – The ghosts of western Pennsylvania will
congregate from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 24-25 at the Old Stone House, one
of Butler County’s most recognized landmarks, as Slippery
Rock University presents its annual “Halloween Ghost Story
Tour” program.
Storytellers
will take up residence in every room of the former inn to provide
ghostly tales. The family-oriented event is free, but donations
will be accepted. The haunted tour will start on the front porch of
the house and take visitors through the house. Stories will be
presented by university staff and students, as well as local
community members.
WISR,
680-AM, will broadcast live from the grounds from 7 to 9 p.m. Oct.
24th and there will be prize giveaways and opportunities
to talk with local radio personalities.
For more information call
Dr. David Dixon, SRU professor of history and facility curator, at
724-738-2408.
The Old Stone House is located in northern Butler County
at the intersections of routes 8, 528, and 173, 12 miles north of
