Dr. Ristvey (Ph.D. University of Pittsburgh) has
extensive experience in coordinating language faculty and has
previously worked in the area of foreign language program
development connected to a National Endowment for the Humanities
grant with the SRU College of Education. She currently has half
release time as the chair of her department, which normally
includes activities related to coordinating the development of new
courses within the department. She will use approximately 10% of
her time working with Dr. Nancy Barta-Smith in coordinating
language and non-language faculty in the designing
interdisciplinary immersion language courses.

Dr. Condravy (Ph.D. Indiana University of Pennsylvania)
directs the Women’s Studies Program at SRU and is the
President of the PASSHE Women’s Consirtium. She has numerous
publications related to Women’s Studies and teaches courses
in Women’s Studies and writing. She is a member of the
English Department.

Dr. Findler (Ph.D. Loyola University, Chicago) is an expert
on 19th and 20th Century European Philosophy,
metaphysics and environmental ethics. He has published widely on
Kant and Heidigger and has served as the translator from German for
several philosophical works. He teaches a variety of courses on the
European philosophical tradition.

Dr. Gorman (Ph.D. City College of New York) is the author
of numerous articles and a book on Jane Austin and teaches British
Literature at SRU. She has participated in numerous Elderhostel
(travel/educational programs for senior citizens) in Poland,
Slovakia, and the Czech Republic. She is a member of the National
Council of Teachers of English.

Dr. Tichy (Ph.D. University of Pittsburgh) is the
former Chair of the Modern Languages and Cultures Department and a
teacher of German and Russian at SRU. He is the author of numerous
papers on the administration of foreign language programs and is
currently completing work on a first year Russian Language
textbook. He is a member of the American Council of Teachers of
Russian, the Association for the Teachers of Slavic and East
European Languages.

Professor Dayton (M.A. Case Western Reserve University)
has extensive experience in adult education as the former Director
of Continuing Education at SRU. She has directed more than ten
Elderhostel educational programs in Eastern Europe. She teaches
writing and English and is a member of the AAUW and Delta Kappa
Gamma (international women educators).

Dr. Zinni (Ph.D. Northwestern University) is the author
of numerous articles and a book on Samuel Beckett. She teaches
French language and literature and has traveled widely throughout
West Europe. She is currently organizing a symposium on Samuel
Beckett for the year 2006.

Dr. McIntosh (Ph.D. University of Denver) is a
specialist in International Relations. For three years he served as
the program director for International and Comparative Politics at
the New College of the University of South Florida, a residential
honors college. He developed the plan for the International Studies
minor at SRU and is the faculty advisor for this newly created
program. He also serves as the faculty advisor for the Model United
Nations.

Dr. Cohen (Ph.D. University of Kansas) teaches Spanish
and Italian at SRU. She is an expert on Spanish language theater
and has served as the editor of several Spanish language
publications. She has traveled extensively through Spain and
Italy.

Dr. Tsuquiashi-Daddesio (Ph.D. University of
Minnesota) teaches French and Spanish at SRU. She has served on the
International Studies Committee, and is an active participant in
the Asian Studies Program. She has numerous publications related to
the teaching of foreign languages.

Dr. Daddesio (Ph.D. Paris 3, Le Sorbonne)has
published a book on semiotics, cognitive science and language
acquisition. He teaches French and Spanish at SRU. His most recent
scholarly work is on French West African film.
