ANNUAL SRU ‘STADIUM ECHOES
CONCERT’ TO FEATURE MUSIC FROM HALF-TIME SHOWS
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Slippery Rock
University’s annual Stadium Echoes Concert, presented by the
University’s Marching Pride and offering highlights from this
year’s football game half-time shows, will be held at 4 p.m.
Nov. 10 in Morrow Field House.
The
concert, under the direction of James Berry, assistant professor of
music, will include the Chuck Mangione piece "Children of Sanchez,"
along with "Karn Evil 9," an Emerson, Lake and Palmer tune. The
marching band will also perform "The Barbarian Horde" from the
movie "Gladiator," highlights from "Carmen," Herbie Hancock's
"Watermelon Man," "Respect" and the SRU "Alma Mater" and "Fight
Song." Concert tickets, available at the door, are $4.
The
band will also hold is traditional pre-concert banquet at noon.
Banquet/concert tickets, $20 for adults, $10 for children ages
5-12, are available by calling 724-738-2436 for
reservations.
