Wendy L.
Stuhldreher, PhD, RD, LDN
Dr. Stuhldreher is currently a
professor in the Department of Health and Safety in the Community Health Program and Assistant to the
Dean of the College of Health, Environment and Science. She
is a registered dietitian with several years of clinical experience
as a consultant dietitian in long term care. She completed
her masters in nutrition at Kent State University where she taught
part time for a few years. After relocating in Carlisle, PA,
she worked as a consultant dietitian in long-term care facilities
while raising her three sons. She moved to Pittsburgh in the
late 1980s and enrolled in the graduate program in nutrition
epidemiology at the University of Pittsburgh. She graduated
in 1990 with her PhD in nutrition epidemiology from the Graduate
School of Public Health. Duriing the 1990-91 academic year,
she completed a post-doc in Diabetes Research at the Diabetes
Research Center at the University of Pittsburgh. She was an
assistant professor in the dietetics program at West Virginia
University for 3 years after which she came to Slippery Rock
University.
