Nora Ambrosio
Professor Department Chairperson nora.ambrosio@sru.edu 724 738-2775 Nora Ambrosio has been at SRU since 1988 and has been the chairperson of the department since 1998. In addition to chairing, Nora teaches dance composition, dance history, teaching of dance and senior synthesis. She also served as the artistic director of SRU Dance Theatre for nine years. Nora choreographs for both student and professional venues and creates dance/theatre works

with her husband, actor and director David Skeele.
She has written a textbook
"Learning About Dance", 3rd edition (Kendall/Hunt Publishing
Company, IA., 2002), which is used in dance departments throughout the
country. She is also a prolific grant writer and has secured over twenty
grants for the dance department and her own artistic endeavors.
