Didactic instruction is provided in
classroom sessions that accompany clinical preceptorships. Students
are expected to take an active role in their learning. Because
didactic instruction and clinical precepting occur simultaneously,
students will not have a great fund of knowledge during the early
weeks in the precepted experience. If you are precepting a student
from the Clarion, Edinboro, and Slippery Rock Universities program,
the instructor for the course in which the student is enrolled will
send you a letter describing the course and the objectives that are
to be met during the clinical experience.
