SRU’S $1,500 BOCCIO FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP AWARDED TO HEATHER RADCLIFFE

          SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Slippery Rock University’s Heather Radcliffe, a senior physical education major from Slippery Rock, has been awarded the $1,500 Boccio Family Scholarship for her performance in the classroom and her involvement in intercollegiate athletics.

          The award was created by Reneed M. Boccio, a 1966 SRU graduate. Radcliffe was nominated by the Office of Intercollegiate Athletics and the university’s department of physical education and sport management awards committee. It is open to physical education majors with a minimum 3.0 grade-point average with first preference given women student-athletes active on an intercollegiate team.

          Radcliffe is a member of SRU’s field hockey team.
