Slippery Rock University is a member of the Marine Science Consortium, an affiliation of 17 colleges and universities that pool their talents and resources to offer students first-hand experience in the marine environment through summer courses at the Wallops Island Marine Science Center on Virginia's Atlantic shore. The B.S. Biology with a specialization in Marine Science is designed to permit students to pursue their interest in the marine sciences while receiving a quality education in Biology at Slippery Rock University.
