THE KENNETH M.
O'TOOLE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The Kenneth M. O'Toole Memorial Scholarship
was established by Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence M. O'Toole within the
Slippery Rock Foundation, Inc. The scholarship is named in
memory of Kenneth M. O'Toole, a former marketing major. It is
in remembering Kenneth and his true appreciation for the numerous
opportunities which he was afforded at Slippery Rock University
that his parents have established the scholarship.
This $1,400 scholarship shall provide
funds for tuition, room and board, and other fees to eligible
students.
To be eligible for this scholarship,
the student shall:
- Be enrolled as a full-time
student.
- Have declared a major in
Marketing.
- Have completed a minimum of 64
credits at the time of application.
- Have financial need.
- Have progressively improved his/her
academic standing (improved QPA) at the University
- Must be in good academic
standing.
The student
shall provide a written statement (between 500 and 1,000 words)
justifying his/her candidacy for the award including a discussion
of financial need and academic progress while at Slippery Rock
University. In addition, the student shall provide two
letters of reference (one is required from a member of the
marketing faculty), and a complete application. Applications are
available in the School of Business Office, 113 ECB.
No
distinction shall be made on the basis of race, color, sex,
religion, creed, national origin, political persuasion, marital
status, sexual preference, handicap, or age.
The
scholarship will be awarded for the 2002-2003 academic year.
All application materials must be received by Wednesday,
March 13th.
