Here’s an idea for a fun
feature story and photo possibility:
At 7 p.m. tonight [Jan. 27], Adam Ward, a
Slippery Rock University junior, will get his first haircut since
enrolling at the university more than two years ago. The hair will
be donated to Locks of Love, an organization that provides
hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children with medical hair
loss.
The North Hills (Pittsburgh) High School graduate
(Class of 2000), is majoring in secondary education, social
studies, at SRU. The haircut is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Kaules
Family Hairstyling Center, 8320 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh
(412-366-7240).
Locks of Love, based in Lake
Worth, Fla., is a not-for-profit group that aids financially
disadvantaged children. (web: www.locksoflove.org) Ward may be
reached by calling 412-931-1288.
Those interested in staffing the
cutting are asked to call 724-738-2199.
