English Department: Outside Links
This page is not meant to have links to every excellent site on the web for English studies. Other sites have done this. One is The English Server at Carnegie Mellon University , an excellent local portal with links for all areas of the study of English. The Voice of the Shuttle , one of the oldest and most extensive of all websites, is a database of information not just for English studies but for all of the Humanities. For literature, A Literary Index: Internet Resources for Literature is helpful; this has links to sites on literature as well as sites that discuss literary research. For Writing, see Jack Lynch's Web Resources for Writing and Writing Instructors . For Linguistics, we suggest you start at the The Linguist List .
This page has links to sites which are directly relevant to our courses, or work being done by professors and students in the department. Please tell us if you have any suggestions!
