Meet the Admissions Staff

CAMPUS VISITS

Campus Visits run nearly year round -- even in the summer.  A Campus Visit consists of a presentation by an admissions counselor and, when classes are in session, a campus tour led by a "Pride Guide," one of our University students. Campus Visits begin at 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. most days, but please call for details. Please allow about 2 1/2 hours for your visit. You'll be in a very small group as you learn more about Slippery Rock and tour campus, and you might even meet a future classmate.  You and your family may ask any individual questions one-on-one after the presentation if you choose.  If you would like to meet another person at the University, such as a professor or coach, please contact us well ahead of time in order that we may discuss special arrangements and work around your visit and tour.  Call Admissions at 1-800-929-4778 to schedule your visit.

SUMMER CAREER VISIT DAYS

Summer Career Visit Days provide students a unique opportunity to learn more about careers related to your particular area of academic interest. You’ll hear directly from professionals and/or SRU faculty to receive a better understanding of your chosen field/major. You’ll also have an opportunity to tour campus facilities, including the new residential suites, and learn more about SRU from admission staff and students.  Summer Visit Days are a great opportunity for rising high school juniors and seniors. Transfer students are invited to attend as well. Please call 1-800-929-4778 to register or feel free to register using the links below.

SATURDAY SHOWCASE

Saturday Showcases are offered on selected Saturdays throughout the year.  Saturday Showcase is an open house type event, where you'll have the opportunity to meet faculty representatives from all of Slippery Rock's academic departments, staff from areas such as admission, financial aid and scholarships, housing, campus life, and many more areas to get your questions answered. Saturday Showcase also includes an hour with a single academic department of your choice to gather in-depth information on the major that interests you the most. Campus tours are available at the end of the program.

Saturday Showcase starts with check in at 9:00 a.m. and wrap up in the early afternoon. A special pre-session is available for students interested in our 3+3 Doctorate in Physical Therapy program beginning at 8:30 a.m.
