SUMMER CAREER VISIT DAYS
Summer Career Visit Days provide students a unique opportunity to learn more about careers related to your particular area of academic interest. You’ll hear directly from professionals and/or SRU faculty to receive a better understanding of your chosen field/major. You’ll also have an opportunity to tour campus facilities, including the new residential suites, and learn more about SRU from admission staff and students. Summer Visit Days are a great opportunity for rising high school juniors and seniors. Transfer students are invited to attend as well. For students interested in computing careers related to the college majors of Computer Science, Information Systems, and Information Technology
August 1, 2008 Careers in Health Day
For students with an interested in clinical and non-clinical careers in Physical Therapy, Counseling/Psychology/Social Work, Exercise Science, Health Services Administration, Therapeutic Recreation, Chiropractic, or Medicine (physician)
SATURDAY SHOWCASE
Saturday Showcases are offered on selected Saturdays throughout the year. Saturday Showcase is an open house type event, where you'll have the opportunity to meet faculty representatives from all of Slippery Rock's academic departments, staff from areas such as admission, financial aid and scholarships, housing, campus life, and many more areas to get your questions answered. Saturday Showcase also includes an hour with a single academic department of your choice to gather in-depth information on the major that interests you the most. Campus tours are available at the end of the program.
Saturday Showcase starts with check in at 9:00 a.m. and wrap up in the early afternoon. A special pre-session is available for students interested in our 3+3 Doctorate in Physical Therapy program beginning at 8:30 a.m.
