SRU TO OFFER FOUR
APPALACHIAN FOLK TALES IN FIRST-EVER CHILDREN’S THEATER
SHOW
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Slippery Rock University
theater department’s first-ever children’s theater
production will be “Mountain Myths,” a collection of
four, Appalachian folk tales retold in drama.
Performances
by the SRU theater students are planned for 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
March 29 and April 5 in Miller Auditorium. Tickets are $3 and may
be purchased from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays
from the Miller Box Office. The box office also opens one hour
before curtain.
The
production was adapted and is being directed by Lars Tatom, theater
instructor.
The
cast includes, Maria Leezer of Pittsburgh, John A. Dropp and
Rebecca Henry, both of Gibsonia, Tricia L. Colosimo of West
Sunbury, Chase Carlson as Meadville and Evan Endres of
Ligonier.
