JAZZ AND SAX TO HIGHLIGHT TWO UPCOMING CONCERTS AT THE ROCK

           SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Chamber music concerts are on tap for 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday [April 8-9] as Slippery Rock University jazz and saxophone students show off their talents.

          The free concerts will be held in Swope Music Hall and the public is invited.

          Coached by Terry Steele, associate professor of music, the six-piece SRU Jazz Combos will play Tuesday offering such jazz standards as “There will Never be Another You” and an original work by combo members Patrick Schirf and David Sendef.

          The SRU Sax Quartets will play Wednesday, including one work written for four alto saxophones.
