The ALTER project began a Christmas Craft sale in ............ This was to raise money for ...............

In 2002, MS3 student Michele Gauger began another Christmas idea, called This Holiday Season SAVE! (Student Awareness for Our Valuable Earth) to promote an environmentally conscious holiday. The idea was to promote local vendors and sources of materials to inspire people to make environmentally friendly gifts for the holidays such as bird feeders, candles or wrapping paper instead of strong consumerism and waste during the holidays. A booklet of helpful hints for promoting a green holiday, in and outside your house was also available along with homemade baked goods. It was hoped that this becomes an annual event.
