Registration for all summer session classes will begin MARCH 30, 2009. Some very important changes have been made in registering procedures, so please read the following information very carefully.

Students wishing to register for SUMMER courses ONLY may do so without registering for fall courses. While not required to do so, students are urged to get their advisors' signatures on their summer registration forms.

An initial summer school billing will be sent April 13, 2009 with an APRIL 29, 2009 due date. Additional billings will be sent after the drop/add period has passed for each session (i.e. Pre, First, Second and Post) with a due date identified on each bill. Once the drop/add period has passed a student will be required to pay all tuition and fees for that session prior to registering for any courses in that session. As in previous years, students may obtain a registration form from the Office of Academic Records and Summer School, Room 107 Old Main. Rock Talk will also be available for use in scheduling summer classes. Once the drop/add period for a session has ended students will no longer be able to schedule for that session via Rock Talk, and must go to the Office of Academic Records and Summer School. If permitted to add late, students must then go to the Office of Student Accounts, Room 104 Old Main to pay their tuition and fees and return to Academic Records and Summer School to complete the registration process.

The university will not cancel summer classes for nonpayment. Students are responsible for withdrawing from any/all courses they decide not to attend. Students must follow university procedures in withdrawing from courses or they will be responsible for payment of tuition and fees for those courses. Holds will be placed on students not paying for summer courses and they will not be able to register for subsequent semesters until the balance is paid in full.

Undergraduate students  may register for summer classes on or after the date and time on the e-mail they receive in March. Summer registration may be completed at any authorized computer terminal or by using Rock Talk.

Students who wish to take a course on an optional Pass - No Credit basis should indicate this at the time of registration. Slippery Rock students repeating a grade previously earned should, also, indicate this when registering.

Graduate and Post-Baccalaureate students may register for SUMMER on March 30, 2009 or thereafter. Graduate students enrolled as recently as the summer, 2007, will receive information for registering by mail in March.

Special and Transient students may register for summer on April 20, 2009 and thereafter.  Special and transient registration for fall will not occur until June 29, 2009.

CLASSES BEGIN ON THE FIRST DAY OF EACH SESSION. Registration must be completed before the drop/add deadline of each session to avoid payment of the late registration fee.
