EXPERT ORGANIC FARMER TO LECTURE AT SRU OCT. 25

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Passionate gardeners and organic growers have heard a lot about Eliot Coleman -- the Maine-based organic farmer who was on national television as recently as Oct. 1.

Coleman will lecture 7 p.m. Oct. 25 at Slippery Rock University’s University Union, giving students and the public insight into his 30 years of farming and vision for the future of sustainable farming. Sustainability refers to the connection between environmental policy and economics.

Coleman’s books include “The New Organic Grower” and “Four Season Harvest.”

Admission is free for SRU students; $3 for students from other schools and $5 for the public. Tickets may be purchased at the door. Or call 724-738-0606 for more information.
