CETP-PA Conference at Edinboro
August 14 -
August 16
What?
This year's summer conference has the theme and title "Knowledge
Under Construction: A Foundation Built Through Inquiry."
Participants at previous CETP-PA Summer Conferences will notice
many of the features that made past conferences such a success.
These include knowledgeable keynote speakers and interesting
break-out sessions. This year's keynote speakers include the
Executive Director of the National Science Resources Center and a
member of the executive staff in the educational outreach division
of DuPont USA. The program also includes more than 60 exciting
presentations, workshops, and poster sessions. This year's
presenters were asked to link their talks in science, mathematics,
and supervision to constructivist classroom methodology. The
break-out sessions are scheduled to give participants opportunities
to participate in a wide cross-section of presentations geared
toward elementary, secondary, and post-secondary teachers of
science, mathematics, and education.
When?
The conference will begin on the morning of Thursday, August 14,
2003 and will end before lunch on Saturday, August 16, 2003.
Where?
This year's conference will be held at Edinboro University of
Pennsylvania.
Who?
Attendees include CETP-PA members from State System of Higher
Education Universities, K-12 public and private schools, and others
interested in improving science and mathematics education. Special
exciting programs, including a beach bonfire party and a
presentation and field trip, have been planned for CETP-PA teaching
scholars.
