Business Administration Specialization

(with International Emphasis)

Spanish: 30-39 hours

Business: 24 hours

I.       Major Prerequisite Courses or Equivalents:  (0-9 hours).   Exemption is possible from these courses according to performance on the placement test.  CLEP, AP and OPI credits are accepted.

II.    Basic Skills Courses: (0-6 hours) Exemption is possible from these courses according to performance on the placement test.  CLEP, AP and OPI credits are accepted for some of the following courses.

III.              Required Spanish Courses: (21 hours)

300 Spanish Grammar and Composition II

One of the following civilization courses:

308 The Civilization of Mexico and Central America

 

 

IV.              Electives (3-9 hours) to complete the 30 hours for the major.

Any 300- or 400-level Spanish courses may be chosen as an elective except

Spanish 302, 309, or 335.

 

V.                Business Administration Specialization with International Business Focus

VII.     Study Abroad Program: (Highly recommended)

Students should plan to spend a summer or semester in a country where Spanish is spoken. Credits earned may be used to fill the above requirements.
