Fire Safety Training

Fire safety professionals are available to provide fire extinguisher training and fire safety lectures. Classes can be arranged to accommodate any size group or department.

Fire Safety Inspections

The fire safety program monitors all SRU locations in an effort to maintain a campus environment free from fire hazards and to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local codes. Toward this end, the fire safety staff periodically conducts formal inspections of all SRU buildings. Where inspections identify potential fire and life safety threats, actions are taken to remediate the hazardous conditions as quickly as possible.

Emergency Evacuation Drills

In addition to conducting fire drills, the fire safety staff assists with the development of emergency evacuation procedures for all campus locations. Fire safety personnel inay be called upon to review departmental procedures as a means of ensuring that they conform to university policy.
