SRU CONCERT CHOIR, CHAMBER SINGERS TO
SHARE STAGE
WITH BRASS, PERCUSSION, STRINGS AND
WOODWINDS SUNDAY
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock
University Concert Choir and Chamber Singers will
presentworks by Mendelssohn, Mozart, Bach, Vivaldi and
others in a holiday concert featuring members of the
university’s brass, percussion, string and woodwinds studios
at 8 p.m. Sunday [Dec. 7] in Swope Recital Hall.
Brass
and percussion students will offer John Rutter's
“Gloria,” and members of the string and woodwind
studios will be spotlighted in Antonio Vivaldi's
“Gloria.”
The
concert is under the direction of Kevin Smith, assistant professor
of music.
Admission is free to SRU students and children; $3 for the
general public.
