2007 Sigama Pi Sigma physics honor society inducties.

  Welcome to the SRU physics department homepage.

The SRU physics department offer several options of study leading to a B.S. or B.A. in Physics as well as two Pre-engineering dual degree options. The goal of these major programs is to provide the foundation for training physicist/ engineers, and also to develop in our students the vitals skills that are required in the 21st century workplace. All the major programs that we offer are designed to allow technical specialization and flexibility to its graduates. Many possible career paths are available to physics majors; the department's curriculum provides the training necessary to most of these options....more

 

News and Events

  • Congratulations to our junior physics majors Kevin Sobczak, Eric Hardin and Brad Kirkwood for winning the outstanding award in the 2007 Mathematical Contest in Modeling.

  •  Four physics majors Eric Hardin, Dustin Hemphill, Scott Rager and Duayne Rieger participated in NSF funded REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates) programs in summer 2007.

  • Congratulations Adam Brant for being admitted to the graduate program with a full assistantship starting Fall 2007 from Department of Physics at West Virginia University.

  • Eight physics majors were inducted to the Sigma Pi Sigma physics honor society in spring 2007.........more
