Activities for AAAP members could include:
E-mailing or phoning prospective students - Corresponding with
prospective students takes place on a regular basis by the
Admissions Office. We take the lead. AAAP members
complement this contact by e-mailing or phoing students at various
stages of the enrollment process. Names of students will be
provided to AAAP members (accessed through Blackboard).
College Fairs - Fairs are generally held in the evening at a
high school and last approximately two hours. Many different
colleges and universities as well as technical schools and military
personnel are available to answer questions from students and
parents. In the fall months, seniors in high school and their
parents are the primary participants and during the spring, juniors
usually attend the college fairs.
On-campus visitations - The Admissions Offices hosts three major
campus visitation programs in the spring. AAAP members are always
invited to attend these programs as guests to greet and socialize
with parents.
Adopt a Guidance Counselor - Through adopting a guidance
counselor, AAAP members serve as an additional contact person for
the guidance counselor and interested students. AAAP members
touch base with the counseling staff, making sure they have updated
materials and they know the admission status of their students.
