11 HONORED FOR SERVICE TO SLIPPERY ROCK
UNIVERSITY
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Slippery Rock
UniversityInterim President Robert Smith saluted 11
management employees for various years of service to the
University, including 40 years of service by Francis Hensler,
software support specialist in administrative information systems
and technologies, at a recent breakfast meeting.
Hensler, of Slippery Rock, is credited with
founding the University’s Data Processing Center in
1963.

Years:Dr. Bruce Russell, dean for the College of
Business, Information and Social Sciences, of Slippery
Rock;
20 Years: Fran Bires, director of the
McKeever Environmental Education Center, of Sandy Lake; and Timothy
Harlan, director of accounting services, of New Castle;
15 Years: Dennis Buffington, accountant, Marcia
Miller, benefits and transactions manager, and Dr. Paula Olivero,
assistant vice president for student development, all of Butler;
Mark Combine, director of purchasing, of Boyers; and Karl Schwab,
public relations specialist, of Canfield, Ohio;
10 Years:Dr.
Christopher Cole, director of the Center for Student Organizations
and Leadership, of Butler; and Andrew Wilson, manager of design and
construction, of Grove City.
