A student may pursue a double
major or specialization area, in addition to the student's
first chosen major. The student must meet the requirements for each
program. Students may declare a second major or a specialization
area by completing the Request for Addition/Deletion of Second
Major/Specialization form. Typically, second majors may not be
declared within a student's first major department. Check with the
Office of Academic Records and Summer School for exceptions.
Students wishing to receive a second area of teacher certification
may or may not have to meet the requirements of a second major.
Questions should be addressed to the Office of Academic Records and
Summer School, 107 Old Main. Coursework in a student's second major
may be used to satisfy the University's Liberal Arts
requirements.
