Biography:

Dr. Wenhao Liu joined SRU as an Assistant Professor since Fall 2004 semester. He earned his Ph.D. in sport pedagogy in 2002 from the University of Georgia. Before joining SRU, Dr. Liu spent two years teaching PETE courses at The Sage Colleges in New York State, 14 years teaching PETE courses in Wuhan Institute of Physical Education, China, and one year in Sweden as a visiting researcher conducting research on sports behavior.

Dr. Liu has a wide-scale research interest in physical education and related areas and is an established and independent researcher. He has 40 papers published (39 in peer-reviewed journals) and two dozens of papers presented at national and international professional conferences. In recent years Dr. Liu has focused his research on physical activity participation and his research achievement has received a national recognition – in 2007 Dr. Liu was inducted as AAHPERD Research Consortium Fellow. In addition, Dr. Liu has served as a reviewer or editorial member in three peer-reviewed professional journals.
