I.
Purpose
To provide employees assistance with benefits available through
their employment with the University.
II. Objectives
A. To inform and assist employees in the use of their
benefits.
B. To direct employees to appropriate offices or agencies in the
use of their benefits.
III. Policy
The Human Resources Office provides information and assistance for
medical/health insurance, life insurance, retirement, as well as
other voluntary programs. A Benefits Handbook is available to all
employees and contains information concerning these benefits. If
further assistance is necessary, you may contact the Human
Resources Office at extension 2070.
For resolving denial of medical/health insurance claims, you may
contact the appropriate number below:

The Human Resources Office is able to provide limited information
and assistance to employees regarding Health and Welfare Programs
such as eye and dental. These Health and Welfare Programs were
established through the Collective Bargaining process and these
benefits are administered by appropriate employee
representatives. Questions and requests for assistance should be
directed to the applicable fund offices.
