Purpose
To provide the policy/procedure for
the review of positions prior to recruitment and hiring.

Objectives

impact of personnel and fringe benefit costs. |

To restrict complement
growth as much as possible. |
III.
Policy
The Executive Council will review
and recommend the filling of all faculty and administrative and new
support staff positions. The final approval for filling such
positions will come from the President. Human Resources will
maintain a file to include copies of the approvals to fill
positions.
As existing support staff positions
become vacant and are to be filled at the same classification,
approval to fill these positions will rest with the affected
administrative officer.
Human Resources has classification
authority for support staff positions and can recommend proper use
of positions and distribution of duties.
