- Arrange a series of meetings with
your advisor early in the semester to discuss your interestes,
skills and abilities, as well as plan your courses.
- Schedule an appointment to meet
with your advisor in advance of your registration date. Review the
Liberal Studies requirements with your advisor to check which areas
you have completed and which areas you need to complete. Review the
requirements fo the Liberal Studies Program (see section on Liberal
Studies Program in this web site). Schedule Liberal Studies courses
to maintain balance from the varios areas. If you have declared
your major, review with your advisor your major program
requirements. If you are in the Exploratory Program, use the
Liberal Studies Program to select courses in a specific area(s) of
interest. Often, these interest areas will develop into a major
program in the future.

- If you are registered for 24101
this semester, you should register for 24103 for the next
semester.
- If you are registered for 18109
this semeste, you should register for 18110 next semester. If
you are registered for 18110 during this semester, you have
completed the math requiremenent for the Basic Requirements
area.
- Pick up a Master Class Schedule from one of the offices listed
on the previous page.
- Use the Master Class Schedule (list of courses), the Liberal
Studies Guide, the Major Program Guide, the Advisement Handbook,
and the College Catalog on-line (course descriptions) to make a
list of courses that interest you. Check the College Catalog
for descriptions and or prerequisites.
- Prepare a tentative schedule for your registration appointment.
Complete the blocks as shown in the example. Bring the
tentative schedule to your advisor when you are scheduled to
register for classes.

- Plan at leaslt 4-5 alternative courses (in addition to your
first preferences).
- Reveiw your schedule carefully to insure that you have not
scheduled any conflicts.
- Plan to register for 15-16 credits if you are a full-time
student.
