Center for Applied and Professional Ethics

The Philosophy Department at Slippery Rock University, in collaboration with the Dean of the College of Humanities, Fine and Performing Arts, has established the Center for Applied and Professional Ethics (CAPE). Slippery Rock University’s commitment to the field of applied and professional ethics has made it possible for us to do this.

The Center for Applied and Professional Ethics is housed in the Philosophy Department. Its mission is to open up dialogue with other academic institutions in the field, to consult with businesses and community groups on ethical issues, to organize conferences in the area of applied and professional ethics, to present lectures on different topics of interest, and to pool information about applied and professional ethics from other academic institutions.
