Winners of SRU's Warner Film Festival Announced
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Top honors in the recent Harry M. Warner Festival of Short Film and Video, hosted by Slippery Rock University’s Harry M. Warner Film Institute, went to Adetoro Makinde of Hollywood for the 19-minute presentation “In Time.” Second place honors went to “The Passage of Mrs. Calabash,” directed by Scott Tuft of Los Angeles, and third place to “Twitch,” directed by Leah Meyerhoff of Brooklyn, N.Y.

Regional Learning Alliance Plans Open Houses for June 14-15

SRU MPAEL to Host 'School Law Workshops' for School Administrators
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – School administrators, superintendents and educators from throughout the region are invited to attend two “School Law Workshops,” including a special advanced school law session, sponsored by Slippery Rock University’s College of Education and the Midwestern Pennsylvania Academy of Educational Leadership. Bernard Hoffman, a legal consultant to the Pennsylvania Department of Education, will conduct the sessions.

Levy has hit a home run with his latest book “Joe McCarthy: Architect of the Yankee Dynasty,” the first-ever, in-depth biography of the unassuming baseball manager with an uncanny ability to discover and nurture young baseball talent. During a 29-year span in the major leagues, McCarthy left a legacy of nine pennant and seven World Series wins.

Arthritis Foundation 'PACE' Exercise Program at SRU's Aebersold Center
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – PACE -- People with Arthritis Can Exercise -- the Arthritis Foundation’s land exercise program for people with arthritis, will be offered in an eight-week program at Slippery Rock University’s Aebersold Student Recreation Center. Pace is a recreational series of gentle movements and activities designed to increase mobility and range of motion.
