3+3 Chemistry or 2+3 Biology

 

For admission into Phase 1 of the program, students must possess the following criteria:

  • 1100 SAT
  • 3.2 high school grade point average
  • Top 25% of high school class

Two letters of recommendation are required at the time of application to LECOM

One MUST be from the Health Professions Committee at SRU.  The letter will address the personal growth of the student during Phase 1 of the Program, as well as the student’s maturity, responsibility, and desire to become a pharmacist.

 

  • AP courses are not accepted

  • Students must take the courses at SRU as described in the agreement

  • Transfer students are not eligible for this program

  • Only US citizens and permanent US residents may apply

In order for students to apply to LECOM for the second phase, the following criteria must be met:

  • Students must maintain a minimum of a 3.2 QPA

  • No grade lower than a C

  • No repeats of classes

  • Earn a minimum QPA of a 3.2 of higher for science and math courses

  • Must maintain full-time student status while at SRU and complete the program in the specified time frame.

  • Demonstrate leadership potential and commitment to the pharmacy profession.

  • Submit a completed application for admission to the LECOM School of Pharmacy

  • Submit two letters of recommendation (see above).

During the Phase II portion of the Pharmacy Program, students complete three years at the LECOM School of Pharmacy, where classes run 12 months of the year.  Students will graduate with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (Pharm. D.), which has become the only educational level for pharmacists.  LECOM is the fourth school in the nation to offer a unique, accelerated three-year professional degree program, which leads to a Pharm D degree.

 

2+3 Affiliation Agreement:  Biology (no degree awarded by SRU)

3+3 Affiliation Agreement:  Chemistry (degree awarded)
