The fundamental mission of the Facilities and Planning Department is to provide a quality physical environment and essential services in support of Slippery Rock University's mission to provide high quality undergraduate and graduate academic instruction.

To accomplish this mission, the department will focus its efforts on the following goals and objectives:

• Maintain and provide quality facilities and services
• Promote an organization that encourages and expects quality
• Provide an environment that encourages professionalism, creativity, teamwork, recognition, and communication
• Involve staff, clients, and service providers in determining techniques that enhance efficiencies, productivity, and services within available resources
• Maintain a safe campus environment
• Involve staff in strategic and long-term planning
