Becca's Closet Dress Collection

Becca's Closet is an organization that collects dresses for girls that can not afford dresses for Prom and other dances. This gives less fortunate girls the opportunity to live their own dream!
- Dresses can be brought to the Women's Center monday through friday anytime from 9AM-4PM
- Please feel free to call the center at 724-738-2992 with any questions or further information.
- Once the dresses are collected at SRU, they will be driven to the nearest Becca's Closet organization
Equal Pay Day

- Come learn about why women do not make the SAME amount of money for the SAME job
- It is your own fault, now come and learn how to get what you are worth
Clothesline Project T-Shirt Making Day
Date: TBD
- WHITE: women who have died from violence
- YELLOW or BEIGE: women who have been battered or assaulted
- RED, PINK, or ORANGE: women who have been raped or sexually assaulted
- BLUE or GREEN: women who have survived incest or child sexual abuse
- PURPLE or LAVENDER: women who have been attacked because of their sexual orientation
- BLACK or GRAY: women who are attacked for political reasons

- Come to the Women's Center to sign up to Volunteer

Events For Fall 2006
Clothesline Project OCTOBER 9- 12
- From 10 am to 2 pm on these four days, there will be a clothesline hanging in the union.
- Come down and make a shirt. This display bears witness to violence against women.
- We also need volunteers to help monitor the tables where people decorate the T-shirts.
- Call x2992 to sign up to watch the table for an hour or two. It'll make you feel good about your day!
