Psi Chi aims to provide academic prestige to members by having high standards for eligibility, to offer a congenial climate for professional growth, and to make active attempts at nourishing and stimulating that growth.  Basis for membership:

1. completion of 9 or more credits in psychology
2. registration for major or minor standing in psychology
3. completion of 3 semesters of college
4. Overall QPA of 3.0 and Psychology QPA of 3.2
5. high standards of personal behavior
6. good academic standing
7. two thirds vote of approval for membership at a regular meeting of the chapter

Psi Chi is the national honorary in psychology.  Members are psychology majors or minors in good academic standing.
