Athletic Program Participation Rates and Financial Support Data (EADA)

The information required by the Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA), is available through SRU's website.  This information discloses 2005-06 data on the participation rates and financing of men's and women's sports in intercollegiate athletic programs.

In accordance with the Student's Right to Know Act, schools must report the completion/graduation rates of their full-time, first-time undergraduates after six years of enrollment. This information is available and maintained by the Office of Institutional Research.

Completion/Graduation Rates of Students Receiving Athletically Related Aid

In accordance with the Student Right to Know Act, Schools must report the completion/graduation rates of their full-time, first-time undergraduates who have received athletically-related aid after six years of enrollment. The Office of Intercollegiate Athletics provides this information directly to student-athletes their parents, and counselors prior to the student accepting any athletically related aid.  These rates are also available through the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and through the Office of Institutional research.

Slippery Rock University recognizes that sexual assault and sex offenses, including rape, sexual battery, date rape, and any other unwanted sexual contact causes enormous pain to the victim and those close to them. Students’ Rights Under FERPA  

A student's rights with respect to their educational records are protected under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA).  The FERPA policy and a description of “directory information” can be found in the “Green & White” Student Handbook, the university catalog under "Records Policy", and in each semester/term's Master Class Schedule.

Financial Assistance Available to Students at SRU

Through publications and the web, the Office of Financial Aid makes available information about various aspects of financial aid including:

Refund Policy

Students who withdraw from the university may be entitled to a refund of charges.  The REFUND POLICY is printed on university student billing statements and published in the university catalog and also on the Office of Student Accounts web site.

 Requirements for Returning Title IV Aid 

Recipients of federal financial aid who withdraw from the university may be required to have a portion of their aid returned to the federal financial aid programs.  The requirements for returning federal (Title IV) financial aid are printed on the university student billing statements and can also be found in the university catalog.

Clery Act Annual Security Report

Slippery Rock University's Annual Security Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings, or property owned or controlled by Slippery Rock University; and, on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus security, such as policies concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.

Requirements and Procedures for Withdrawing from the University
Students withdrawing from the university should contact the Office of Retention Services.

Procedures for withdrawing from the university include:

  • Once the decision has been made to withdraw from the university, the student must secure a withdrawal form.   These forms are located throughout campus as well as in the office of academic records and the office of retention services or at the following links.

  • The student is to fill out section one of the form.

  • Section two will indicate with whom the student needs to meet to conclude the process.

  • Once the student has been interviewed the process of withdrawal is complete.
