The Dance program of study provides a good background for entry to the following occupations and may require further education.

DANCERS/CHOREOGRAPHERS may work for:

• dance and theater companies

• movie and TV companies

• schools, colleges, and universities

• children's dance groups

• hospitals, clinics, and nursing homes

• day care centers

• special education programs

• community mental health centers

• a private practice

Dancers may work on stages, in movie and TV studios, in classrooms, and at various other locations.

DANCERS/CHOREOGRAPHERS work with:

• costumes and makeup

• stage sets, props, lighting, and sound equipment

• scripts and musical scores

• books and various other educational resources (teachers)
