Pre-Professional Programs are NOT majors or minors at Slippery Rock University. For example, we do not have students majoring in pre-med or pre-law at the university. Instead, students choose an undergraduate major to study and elect a pre-professional program as an advising track so they are matched with a highly knowledgeable faculty advisor who can give them just the right guidance to select and apply to professional schools. Even our own students at The Rock who seek admission into our prestigious School of Physical Therapy are not working on a bachelor's degree in physical therapy at SRU, but rather are declared majors in biology, allied health and exercise and rehabilitative science departments.
The following pre-professional advising tracks are available:
pre-chiropractic, pre-dental, pre-engineering, pre-law, pre-medical, pre-optometry, pre-pharmacy, pre-physical therapy, pre-physical therapy, pre-podiatry, and pre-veterinary medicine
