TLTR Meeting Minutes
March 20, 2007

I. Regular Business Reports
A. Report from Dean Lindsay-IT
1. The lab software is changing to Windows XP and Microsoft Office 2007.
B. Nominations
1. Call for nominations for the 1st year co-convener for TLTR. Nominations will be accepted from now to the next meeting.
II. Taskforces
A Grants/Planning- The second round of grants will be reviewed by E-mail. Results will be announced after April 2. Target-Professional Development. Mobile Planning Committee is being formed to buy equipment for faculty- there is a need to provide laptops.
B. Citrix- Met with Citrix vendors. Submitted a TLTR grant proposal, and were able to buy 4 pieces of software that will be available to all students on campus- Indesign, Dreamweaver, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Photoshop- Programs which are currently available to students in select majors.
III. Presentation.
A. Presenters were Dave Valentine and Frank Hulick
B. Presentation was titled “Personal Computer Security”
C. Teach CpSC 301- Practical Computer Security
D. Gave a demonstration of Cryptography software that students use during class. Cryptography is a program that many web sites use which scrambles personal information of customers (Ex: credit card information)

Next Meeting: April 20th, in 119 of Field House (Food and Business meeting) and Field House Dance Studio (Presentation). The presentation will be given by Jennifer Keller, and is called “Dance Technology.”
